Abstract The influence of land management practices on provisioning, regulating, supporting and cultural/societal ecosystem services were identified through appraises and synthesis of previous research results. Implemented land management practices in the country have positive influences on the majority of ecosystem services except provision services on crop productivity. This might be due to, physical soil and water conservation practices reduce effect private cultivable area. Nevertheless, soil and water conservation practices increase crop yield, despite the other ecosystem services such as, regulation of runoff and soil erosion. This implies that integration of physical and agronomic soil and water conservation practices are essential to increase both provisioning and regulating ecosystem services. Besides, biophysical factors such as altitude, rainfall, slope and age of conservation practices are also determinant factor on ecosystem services of land management practices. Proper design of physical soil and water conservation practices and integration of different land management practices should be into consideration during planning and implementation of land management activities.
