Fish production helps to alleviate the problem of protein deficiency as well as cost of fish and other animal protein. The Green River project (GRP) of Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) operates in Niger Delta regions of Nigeria to boost fish production in the area. The study aimed at assessing the impact of GRP on fish production in Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Multistage sampling technique was used to select 120 GRP fish farmers from two States in Niger Delta. Data were collected with the use of interview schedule. Data were analyzed using percentage, frequency count, mean, t-test and chi-square. Majority of the fish farmers benefitted from fish farm management technologies (such as: training on good record keeping technique (89.2%) and proper site selection considering source of good water (81.7%)), fish feeding technique (such as: use of different sizes of feeds like 0.5mm at first week (97.5%), use of good feed like cupen (97.5%) and use of correct quantity of feed (94.2%); fish culture management technologies (such as: selection of good fish species (94.2%); provision of healthy fingerlings (82.5%); water quality and quantity management technologies and liming techniques. GRP had positive impact on the fish farming equipment and facilities possessed by the respondents such as: number of ponds owned (t= 13.237; p≤0.05) and their knowledge of fish production technique (X2=30.0; p≤ 0.05). It was recommended that there should be timely provision of input for the farmers and measures should be put in place to reduce effects of flooding in the area.
