The present study characterized the acute chemical compounds of Themeda quadrivalvis using GCMS and synthesis of green silver nanoparticles and their antimicrobial pattern against different human pathogens. GCMS analysis revealed the presence of 51 chemical compounds which were present in the methanol extract of plant sample based on the retention time (8.385-47.395) with the major compound been 3-Methyloctadecane. The maximum zone of inhibition was found in chloroform extract against Klebsiella sp. (18±4.7 mm) and minimum zone of inhibition was found in cold water extract against Streptococcus sp (5±1.7 mm). In the SEM analysis, we examined particles consist of a number of smaller objects of 20nm. This is the first phytochemical and green synthesis of silver nanoparticle analysis report in this plant species. Both extract (plant extract and green nanoparticle) had a broad spectrum activity against human pathogens, this baseline study gives the novel ideas to make drugs against human pathogens.
