Abstract

The study presents a secientomertic portrait of the National conferences, which are organized by Society for the Advancement of Library and Information Science (SALIS) jointly with other Institutions at different parts of Tamilnadu.  National conferences which were organized from 2009 to 2013 were considered for the study.  Number of papers published and presented, number of authors who have contributed for the above mentioned conferences, degree of collaboration etc. and the key details were analysed. The data were collected from the respective conference proceedings. In this regard, the organizing secretaries of each conference were consulted as and when required.
