Diabetes, which affects millions of people, has been in desperate need of innovation for a long time. The recent pandemic has initiated various innovative measures to maintain and promote health and establish desired outcomes. This concept analysis aims to identify various health service delivery problems encountered during COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to identify different health service innovations created to continuously apply the health service delivery programs needed particularly to those patients with diabetes. The Walker and Avant method was used as the organizing framework for this study. Many individuals with and without diabetes, as well as those with different health conditions benefited in the said innovations. Innovation in diabetic nursing care, particularly mobile health and telemedicine, has been beneficial during the COVID-19 outbreak. These technology-based advancements will greatly serve most diabetic patients. Continuation of such innovative services may also benefit millions of individuals globally. These may ease or lessen the workload of our health institutions since the transactions, consultations, educations, etc. are delivered virtually.
