Abstract
Spray pyrolysis has been applied to deposit of Cadmium sulfide (CdS) and Aluminium doped Cadmium sulfide (Al-doped CdS) thin films. These films were used in various devices such as solar cells, sensors, and solid oxide fuel cells. Optical and dielectric properties such as transmittance (T%), absorption coefficient (α), real dielectric constant (), imaginary dielectric constant (
), and dielectric loss (δ) have been calculated. All the films demonstrated more than 65% transmittance at wavelengths longer than 500 nm. Absorption is increased up to 9% of Al-doping on CdS thin films. Dielectric peak is observed near 325 nm, and after 500 nm it was saturated.
Key words: Cadmium sulfide (CdS), dielectic properties, spray pyrolysis, Aluminium doped Cadmium sulfide (Al-doped CdS), Cadmium sulfide: Aluminium (CdS : Al), Aluminium (Al).
