Initiatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) In The Rural Development of Manipur: An Assessment

Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) have a very critical role in the process of developmental initiatives of various activities at the rural areas. It was a good provision of Citizen Volunteers Training Centre (CVTC) which provided tremendous enforcement powers for the upliftment of Andro villages. With this NGO, different social and economic related activities were imparted throughout the areas at grass root level. Through these activities, all the villagers of Andro could be able to get higher level of living socially and economically. Thus, a total sustainable development took place in the region in advance ahead of the government machineries in these rural areas. For this study, an attempt has been made to analyze the working of NGO for the rural development in this paper.
