The paper examined the adoption of pigeon-pea cropping mixtures and its effect on farmers’ yield. One Hundred and sixty six (166) farmers were purposively selected for the study. Data were collected through the use of structured questionnaire. Information obtained was analyzed by means of descriptive (standard normal test). Results indicated the mean differences between adopters and non adopters to be 388.7 kg/ha, while the calculated Z- Value (7.8) was found to be greater than the tabulated Z- value(2.0) at 1% level , and hence showed a significant differences between the farmers. It is concluded that Pigeon-pea mixed cropping strategy has positive effect on farmers’ yield as evident from the research findings, and hence recommended for an enhanced production.
