The study aimed to investigate the potential for introducing e-extension in Lesotho by looking to know the level of awareness of agricultural extension practitioners regarding ICT opportunities and advances in enhancing extension delivery, access, to and use of ICT resources by extension practitioners, agricultural extension practitioners knowledge and experience in ICT and level of readiness by extension practitioners to use ICT in agricultural extension work. The questionnaire was used to collect data on a sample of 68 agricultural extension officers from public and non-governmental organisations and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) computer programme version 16.0 was used to compute the analysis. The findings revealed that the majority of extension practitioners were aware of potential ICT opportunities and advances; had access to ICT resources and used them; possessed a wide range of competencies in the use of ICT; and had a positive disposition towards e-extension. The study concluded that the potential and use of e-extension is well recognized and that extension practitioners are well positioned to embrace its introduction in the country.
