Abstract

Adult stoneflies (Plecoptera) were trapped in. light trap from January to December 2008 in Tupah River, Malaysia. Plecoptera was only represented by two families viz., Perlidae and Nemouridae in the study region. Abundance was less but nine species recorded. Abundance of Plecoptera was more affected in the wet seasons especially for the family Nemouridae. N. asperata was a common species that occurred through out the year. N. fallax was equally common although this species was absent during early part of the year. The percentage of females was higher than male for all species of Plecoptera collected.
