The purpose of this paper is to present the contributions of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives towards improving manufacturing performance in a foundry. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a very powerful Lean manufacturing tool that aims to increase the availability of existing equipment hence reducing the need for further capital investment. The correlations between various TPM implementation dimensions and manufacturing performance improvements are going to be evaluated and validated. The effect of implementation of TPM is measured with the help Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
