A wireless sensor network (WSN) is composed of many sensor nodes that are distributed in the environment to gather information. One of the most common application of this technology is the monitoring of environments where there are constraints regarding the setting up of wired networks. In this paper, the design of a control system based on fuzzy logic to monitor and control gas consumption with the help of smart wireless sensor agents was dealth with. Moreover, fuzzy logic was used to assess gas pressure, gas volume, temperature and time in order to obtion an optimum structure for improving the urban gas consumption pattern. The results obtained showed that the method used, as apposed to conventional method, optimized gas consumption.
