Extraction and characterization of chitin and chitosan from Callinectes amnicola and Penaeus notialis shell wastes

In the current investigation, chitin and chitosan are extracted from Callinectes amnicola (crab) and Penaeus notialis (shrimp) shell wastes using predetermined optimization conditions.
