Bruchid (Callosobruchus chinensis L) is the most important insect pest of pulses in store. Loss assessment study due to Bruchids in store on chickpea was conducted from October 2004 to March 2005 under laboratory conditions (25-27°C and 61% RH) in the College of Agriculture Asmara University.
