Information Needs and Resource Utilization by Undergraduate Students of Human Knetic Department

Due to new research inventions in almost every field of endeavours, new information generates throughout the day thereby given room to information explosion. Equally, with the growth in information resources there is corresponding growth and differences in information needs and behaviors of different groups of people. Against this background, the paper examines the information needs and resource utilization of undergraduate students in the department of Human Kinetic and Health Education, Benue State University, Makurdi . Specifically, the paper tries to establish the students information needs, what types of information resources are at their disposal and the extent to which the students utilize the information resources available to them. The paper further tries to offer useful suggestions on how to medicate the problems inherent in the provision of information resources and utilization
