This paper presents the design of a narrowband pass unequal power divider using double splintered rectangular ring shape coupled lines. The substrate material used between the power divider and the ground is of Rogers RT 5880 (lossy) with a relative permittivity of 2.2. The shape used in design makes the power divider more efficient. The device works at 5.9 GHz with the insertion loss of -3.4 dB at one port and -5.02 dB at the other respectively. A serial R-C circuit is connected between two output ports to improve the inter-port isolation. The inter-port isolation is observed to be -16.2 dB. Swastika metamaterials are embedded inside the substrate in order to improve the insertion loss at each output port. CST time domain solver with Finite Integration Technique (FIT) is utilized to model and analyze the device. The overall dimensions of the proposed power divider are 60 × 40 × 1.524〖 mm〗^3. A bandwidth of 120 MHz (2.03%) is obtained for the operating frequency of 5.9 GHz. Other parameters of the device like dispersion diagram, output port reflection losses are also presented in this paper.
