The angular distribution of the degree of polarization of diffusely transmitted solar radiation in the layers of the atmosphere due to multiple scattering on air molecules has been theoretically investigated. The calculations were carried out within the framework of the -function theory, the solutions of which were determined by the factorization method. As a result of the study, it was found that when the incident radiation is scattered only forward ( ), an anomaly appears in the angular distribution of the degree of polarization of the diffusely transmitted radiation.
