Removal of nitrogen from ammonium-rich synthetic wastewater in an upflow column type anammox reactor

The aim of this study is to illustrate the efficiency of nitrogen removal from synthetic wastewater using a fixed-bed anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) reactor.
