Society, Politics and Development: Postcolonial Analysis of Religion

This article engages religion in socio-political evolution in Africa, it’s a study of concepts and practices of religion in European ancient colonies especially those Anglophone and Francophone ones. Treatment of the subject will the understanding of religious and colonial influences into Africa when talking about development. With the understanding they may be potential issues relating to African traditional religions, colonialism, slavery, and religion emplacement in Africa. Major foci will include “African Traditional Religions” (ATR), Christianity, and Islam, within others. Especially attention will be given to questions of colonialism, independence, globalization, representation, racism, gender, and community.
