Abstract
High strength concrete (HSC) specimens containing rice husk ash (RHA) presoaked in equal weight of water were cured in water and ambient air. Compressive strength test results indicates that at a w/c ratio of 0.35, the cube specimens containing 10% presoaked RHA cured in water was higher than control. The compressive strength losses of uncured cubes containing presoaked RHA were more than that of uncured cubes without RHA.
Key words: Concrete, curing, rice husk ash (RHA), hydration, compressive strength.
