Undernutrition and hidden hunger pose significant threats to the well-being, growth, and progress of children, youth, economies, and nations. The diet of adolescents commonly falls short of the recommended daily intake of vegetables, fruits, and foods rich in calcium, iron, and other micronutrients. Lack of healthy food and low availability of nutritious food can result in nutritional deficiencies. Nutrition education can play a crucial role in promoting healthy eating habits and preventing chronic diseases by enhancing the nutritional knowledge of students in schools. This research aimed to assess the effects of nutrition education on the nutritional knowledge of high school students (12-17 years old) in Telangana, India. Results from the post-assessment showed a significant enhancement in students' knowledge levels (p?0.01). A comparison between pre- and post-education scores indicated that many children initially lacked adequate knowledge about different aspects of nutrition. However, the post-scores indicated a substantial enhancement in their understanding of the significance of a balanced diet, nutrient sources, the importance of macronutrients and micronutrients, and the role of physical education.
