Introduction to catalytic oxidation of olefins

The national and international circumstances of catalytic oxidation of olefins were simply introduced in this paper. And the synthesis method of catalytic oxidation of olefins are discussed in detail, such as, catalytic gas-phase oxidation of olefins; catalytic liquid-phase oxidation of olefins; catalytic oxidation of enzyme; catalytic oxidation of olefins with sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide as the...

Sensitivity analysis and determination of optimum temperature of furnace for commercial visbreaking unit

In this study the visbreaking unit of Tehran refinery was simulated and then a parametric sensitivity analysis was carried out for determination of optimum temperature. The Petro-Sim simulator, which specializes in the simulation of refinery processes, was used in this study. Initially the simulator was validated using actual plant test runs and after tuning, the simulations provided errors less than 3%....

Chemical treatment of emulsion problem in crude oil production

Remediation of water in the course of crude oil production has been a costly process and it has hampered the production activities in many parts of the world. In this research work, effective separation of emulsion using demulsifiers (castor oil and sulphuric acid) in six separate formulations was accessed. The result shows that using sulphuric acid as a demulsifier in 500 and 1000 revolution per minute in...
