Limited attention is given to transform agriculture through environmentally friendly and climate smart technologies in study area. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of identifying the factors that affect the farmer’s decision to adopt the sustainable cropland practices in study area. Then, a demographic, socio-economic, institutional and physical factor was collected from 196 randomly selected households in the district. A multi-stage random sampling procedure was employed to select the sample respondents from farm households. Mixed nature of data was collected from sample respondents. This data was gathered by using focus group discussions, observations, and key informants interviews, and it was analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Moreover, inferential such as T-test and chi-square tests was used to test the hypothesis. Finally, a binary logistic regression model was used to analyze factors affecting adoption of sustainable cropland management practices in study area. The binary logistic result revealed that age, distance, and credit access significantlly affect adoption of sustainable cropland management practices in a negatively (p< 0.05 and 10 % probability level). Thus, these study recommend that the governmental and non-governmenatl organizations would promote sustainable cropland management practices and achieve sustainabile environmental use in study areas and elsewhere.
