During the past five decades the Nigerian Government generated vast resource from oil revenues from various oil related operations. However, the Niger Delta region of Nigeria has experienced various form of unrest due to the devastation caused by oil drilling in the region ranging through oil spillage, water contamination air pollution and various ecological dilapidations. This study examines and tests sstakeholders collaboration on environmental health in Niger Delta using corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a frame work. The study further explores the role of various stake holders in environmental protection. The study adopted a quantitative approach and a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire was used to collect data from respondents. The sample group consisted of employees drawn randomly from the Nigerian Petroleum Company. In total, the survey considered 138 respondents who provided valuable insight on CSR. The results showed that a significant number of employees agreed that companies operating in the region need to step up their CSR and examine how this can help protect the environmental health of Ogoniland. The continuous exploitation of oil resources in Ogoniland without the involvement of local people presents a serious challenge to the environment, which is important both to Ogoniland and the Government of Nigeria because the oil revenue that is used to develop the country is generated from that region. This paper provides insight and new academic thinking on how stakeholder collaboration can be used to protect the environment using CSR as a frame work. The key recommendations from the study are for management to involve local people in decision making and environmental protection and health.
