The present study is aimed at assessing the ground water quality of West Zone Central India and its residential area. The physicochemical parameter of water samples collected from various places in and around West Zone Central India. The physicochemical parameters like, temperature, pH, total hardness, total dissolved solid, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, nitrate, sulphate, phosphate, was determined. The results were compared with standard prescribed byWorld Health Organization,WHO and Bureau of India Standards,(BIS). The results of the work i.e. temperature, pH, TDS turbidity, nitrate, sulphate and Phosphate are well within the permissible limit except some samples of total hardness, DO, BOD and COD in study area, during study periods mostly exceeded the value of WHO.

Keywords: West Zone Central India, groundwater, correlation coefficient, residential area.
