Genocide vs. Civil War?

The Rwandan Genocide has been at the forefront of many studies and used as example in countless others and with subjects as varied as conflict, racial hatred, tribal wars, reconstruction, rehabilitation, peace process. Since it happened it is the fourth genocide that has earned this appellation in the UN. This study aims to challenge the generally accepted view that is a genocide pure and simple using three different theories about war, conflict and genocides.
