After a long process of socio-cultural and linguistic symbiosis and subsequent identity deconstruction; the Khimra Agaw people are subjected to identification problems. The deconstruction of identity due to socio-economic and political factors and the latter reconstruction process instigated mainly by political factors was the focus of this study concomitant with the theoretical and empirical evidence and methods used to substantiate the findings. The finding reveals that the challenges the people had faced have laid their effect in the identity expression not only during the 'deconstruction phase' but also in the existing generation which is assumed to be reconstructing its identity
