The study revealed that compensation and work environment were positive determinants of teachers’ job performance in the public schools. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that and school administrators should ensure that teachers are well compensated in terms of paying their medical expenses, salaries, and allowances regularly, promptly and adequately; and government should provide enough finance to the school management to provide enough infrastructure for teachers and also create conducive work environment for the teachers.
