Wheat Marketing and Level of Wheat Production The Case of Tiyo woreda, Oromia Region, Ethiopia.

Objectives:The major objective of this research is assessment wheat marketing determinants in Tiyo Woreda of Oromia regions, Ethiopia. Methods: Both primary and secondary data collected from the farm households, different publications, from woreda office, etc used in the study. The qualitative and quantitative data were mixed in a single study using mixed method research approach. The total of 70 sample size were selected using s random sampling method. Descriptive statistics were employed as a medium of data analysis. Result: The study revealed that the low quality of wheat, lack of access to information communication technology, educational level, farmlands allocated for wheat production, f utilization of modern chemical fertilizers, traditional way of farming methods, shortage of access to credit, seasonal effect, family size, and lack of improved variety of wheat seed are the important determinants leads to low price of wheat in the market. Conclusion: Identifying these key factors was helpful for farmers, tarders, rural consumers and wheat processing industry in increasing the quality of wheat, income of farmers and profit of the traders and industrial firms. And also helpful for woreda administration on planning and building a holistic strategy that help the farmers in producing quality wheat seed for market. Finally, for future researchers, research institutions and students as an empirical literature review.
