RF radiation exposure from cell phones and GSM towers has heightened general concern over any device that may be perceived as a “radiation” source. While there are safety guidelines on the Exposure to RF radiation, no measurements have been conducted to assess the level of human exposure with respect to internationally accepted MPE limits in the vicinity of any base station in Minna. In this paper, RF field levels in the vicinity of 95 GSM base stations have been measured and recorded by means of RF meters. Measurement results show a maximum average power density of 7801µW/m2 and a peak electric field of 5.33V/m respectively. Although these values are far below the recommended ICNIRP reference guidelines, the proliferation of more GSM base stations located within residential areas is a cause for concern. Also, continuous evaluation of RF radiation exposure is necessary in order guarantee continued human safety. In the results analysis, the measured values for the EMR pollution in the selected areas in Minna were utilized in the digital maps created for all the recorded data set
