Sorghum bicolor genotypes in Nigeria were assessed for variability in phenotypic parameters. Eight quantitative and ten qualitative parameters were evaluated in forty-five (45) Sorghum bicolor genotypes. The results from ANOVA and qualitative analyses showed that there was significant variation in the genotypes. Significant positive correlation was also observed amongst the parameters examined. Principal component analysis delineated the growth parameters into three components with Prin 1, Prin 2, and Prin 3 accounting for 25.92%, 21.88%, 17.49% variability, respectively; the yield parameters were separated into two, Prin 1 64.96% and Prin 2 35.04%. Three groups were obtained from the clustering analysis. The phytic acid content in the grains ranged from 0.00 to 0.08 mg/L with a mean value of 0.05 mg/L. The best performing genotypes were identified as NGB01227/NGB01703, NGB01907, NG/AA/SEP/09/217, NGB01589, NG/AA/MAY/09/035, NGB01953, NGB01716, NGB01901, NGB01896, NG/SA/07/187, NG/SA/07/012, NGB01716, NGB01704, NGB01967, NG/SA/07/136, and NGB/06/0004.
