With regard to this fact that modern society is moving towards being rapidly civilized, the manufacturing of automotive resulted in a massive quantity of Used Automotives Oil Filter (UAOF) emergence. So handling the waste stream procures value-added and underpins the demands in other sectors. The steel request is highly raising with population growth. While dismantling and recycling UAOF produces enough scrap steel to be retrieved in similar applications. The objective followed by the present review gathered the UAOF recycling technologies from the initial step of screening of project to recent developments introduced in this regard. Also, plasma technology application was taken into consideration as the new technology posed and noticed to its modern procedure in the way of the UAOF recycling operation based on existing sciences. The collected results and concepts emphasized to redesign and reproduction of UAOF and employing frequently recycled scrap parts in the steel manufacturing operation. The plasma technology enhances the adhesion, wettability, electro-conductivity, and lots of other characteristics of adsorbents within AOF and generates nano-metal oxides from scrap metals of UAOF.
