The use of medicinal plants has been widespread since ancient times to the present by the public, so the study of the effects of cytotoxicity and genotoxicity (chromosomal abnormalities) is necessary. The aim of this study was to evaluate the toxicity of extract of Brew the bark and branch of willow of Hamadan (Salix alba) in plant cell model. Plant samples were collected from Hamadan and the bark skin was dried at room temperature under shade and the dried plant material was powdered using a mill. The brewed plant extracts were prepared at concentrations of 0, 20, 100 (5-fold) and 200 (10-fold) mg / ml. Extract treatment of these two organs at concentrations 5 and 10 times with traditional medicine had toxic and inhibitory effects on onion root cell division and significantly reduced mitotic index and also caused some chromosomal abnormalities.
