A field experiment was conducted at the experimental area of Nuclear Institute of Agriculture (NIA), Tandojam, during the year 2015-2016 in order to check yield potential of advance lines, which obtained from International Centre for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) along with one local check variety (Khirman) under drought condition. The experiment was laid out in a complete block design with three replications. The observations were recorded on tiller plant-1, plant height (cm), peduncle length (cm), spike length (cm), main spike yield (g) and 1000 grain weight (g). The analysis of variance revealed significant differences (P<0.01) among the genotypes for all the traits. Based on mean performance, genotype DSBWYT-3 showed decent performance 1000 grain weight, while genotype DSBWYT-5 also showed desirable performance for plant height and peduncle length, however DSBWYT-15 showed promising performance for characters tillers plant-1, however check variety Khirman produced highest value for spike length, and main spike yield. The genotypes DSBWYT-3, DSBWYT-5, DSBWYT-15, and check variety Khirman showed promising performance for different quantitative traits, indicating that these genotypes possess potential genetic resources, hence may be utilized in upcoming breeding programs.
