Abstract
Extant research implies heterogeneity of resources is the foundation for firm-wise competitive advantage. However, accumulation of these resources is a continuous process. By taking an organizational life cycle perspective, this paper examines the dynamics of intellectual capital (IC) within Dynamic Random Access Memory companies in Taiwan. The results indicate that firms place relatively different weights on the development of IC components across life cycle stages and such investments have different consequences in terms of financial performance.
