A study was conducted to assess the extent of loss in mango, grape and banana fruits caused by fungal diseases during post-harvest. The loss due to fungal diseases was assessed at weekly intervals for four months (June to September 2018). A bout 300 samples of infected fruits were collected during this study, from different fruits market of Riyadh regions in Saudi Arabia. The results showed that, mango, grape and banana are highly perishable fruits and very prone to fungal infection. Fungal species isolated from the infected fruits were identified, Aspergillus niger , Aspergillus flavus, Alternaria spp., Rhizopus spp., Penicillium spp., Botryodiplodia and Phomopsis spp were isolated from (mango). Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Phomopsis and Botryodiplodia were isolated from (grapes). Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium proliferatum, Botryodiplodia theobromae, Rhizopus oryzae, Aspergillus niger, A. flavus and Fusarium equiseti were isolated from (banana). Aspergillus sp., Fusarium spp., Penicillium spp., and Rhizopus spp were the commonest fungal diseases affecting mango, grape and banana fruits and caused severe post-harvest diseases, especially, when storage and hand-ling techniques are primitive. Aspergillus sp and Botryodiplodia sp were prevalent and found among all examined spoilage fruits. Fungal diseases of mango, grape and banana fruits were highest in the month of June to September at consumer level and least at the wholesale level.
