Assessment of menstrual hygiene practices and its associated factors among adolescent students in Batu high school in Batu Town, East Shewa, Ethiopia: A descriptive school-based cross-sectional study
Background: Menstrual hygiene management has not received adequate attention in the reproductive health sectors in developing countries which in turn contribute to poor menstrual hygiene practices in these countries. Lack of knowledge and poor personal hygienic practices during menstruation can lead to various gynecological problems in the reproductive life of girls like reproductive tract infections and inflammatory disorders, school absenteeism and increase school dropout rate. Ignorance about
