Abstract
The scholarship system in higher education ensures equal opportunities in education, and plays an important role in meeting the accommodation, food, transportation and tuition needs of many students at tertiary education level. In Turkey, university students are offered scholarships and grants by general directorate of higher education credit and dormitories institution, various public institutions, and private institutions taking into account different criteria. This study attempts to reveal the importance level of the criteria used to determine the students for giving food and accommodation grant through analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and conjoint analysis (CA) which multipurpose decision are making techniques.
